Problems with OpenHelpDocument

Have applications using hotspots to initiate "OpenHelpDocument". We have found that in 8.5.1 if user click on such a hot spot the help document opens in a new window as expected, but if user returns to screen with the hotspot and clicks on it again they are not return to the help document and the Lotus Notes client eventually locks up.

The OpenHelpDocument worked fine in Lotus Notes 7.0.2, but we have been experiencing lockups in 8.0.2.

This problem also affects databases assigned to category "NotesHelp" to force them to open in the "special help window".

Is there a solution?
